Unknown Position Do you generally support pro-choice or pro-life legislation?
The government should not be involved. This is an issue that is going away and is being used as a political tool to create unnecessary divide. It's 2022, we have the medical technology of artificial wombs and advancements in NICUs so that we do not need to have women chained to an unwanted pregnancy. A terminated pregnancy no longer has to mean a terminated life. It can mean a chance for life, and a chance for a different life for those who cannot conceive and for those that did.
No Do you support expanding federal funding to support social safety net programs such as Social Security and Medicare?
I have lived my whole life being told that none of those programs would be around for me, yet here they are still going strong. I am confident even with the changing demographics that our countrys major safety net programs will be just fine.
Yes Do you support the regulation of indirect campaign contributions from corporations, unions, and individuals?
We need to get transparent with politics.
No Do you support the protection of government officials, including law enforcement officers, from personal liability in civil lawsuits concerning alleged misconduct?
No one is above the law.
Unknown Position Do you support increasing defense spending?
Spending is adequate, regular audits should be made to ensure appropriate stewardship is maintained.
No Do you support federal spending as a means of promoting economic growth?
No Do you support providing financial relief to businesses AND/OR corporations negatively impacted by the state of national emergency for COVID-19?
No Do you support the federal government taking action, beyond those of the Federal Reserve, to alleviate inflation?
Printing money is not the solution to inflation.
No Do you support the forgiveness of federal student loan debt?
There are many ways to get out from under student loan debt. From Walmart to Starbucks there are plenty of private sectors for those who do not desire to join the US military that are offering the same incentives to pay for college. Also the whole process in place to get the loan forgiveness is inherently designed to discourage the use of the program.
Yes Do you support requiring a government-issued identification in order to vote at the polls?
Having an ID keeps our elections honest.
No Do you support government funding for the development of renewable energy (e.g. solar, wind, geo-thermal)?
Yes Do you support the federal regulation of greenhouse gas emissions?
No Do you generally support gun-control legislation?
Shall not be infringed is pretty clear. I'm not going to dance around the topic, we need them to protect human life.
No Do you support a government-run (single-payer) healthcare program, such as Medicare-for-All?
No Do you support expanding paid family AND/OR medical leave opportunities?
Yes Do you support lowering the cost of prescription drugs?
Yes Do you support increasing security along the southern US border?
No Do you support requiring immigrants who are unlawfully present to return to their country of origin before they are eligible for citizenship?
I believe in serious and meaningful immigration reform. There is a reason, probably many reasons, people enter illegally. We need to look to the process and make it easier, safer, and more cost effective to immigrate legally.
No Do you support economic intervention as a means of resolving international conflicts?
No Do you support the U.S. providing increased offensive military aid to Ukraine?
We are not the world police. We have a history of intervention in other countries that we would not appreciate if the same actions were made by foreign governments on American soil.
No Do you support raising taxes, on any income or on any entity, to promote economic growth?
Taxation is extortion.
Yes Do you generally support removing barriers to international trade (for example: tariffs, quotas, etc.)?
Free markets.
1) De-schedule and de-criminalize cannabis. It's one of those things the American people have been asking for legislation to do for decades. 2) Defend ALL RIGHTS, from being chiseled away by big government and special interest groups. 3) End the Jones Act. I understand the national security aspect of it but the rest is corporate protectionism at the price of backed up supply chains in emergencies and the cost of living in Hawaii and other costal states.
